MINIMUM(number, number)
Numeric. The two values to compare, separated by a comma.
Numeric.
If the two number parameter values do not have the same number of decimal places, the result is adjusted to the larger number of decimals. For example, the output for MINIMUM(3.6, 10.5433) is 3.6000. You can use the DECIMALS( ) function to adjust the number of decimals for one or both number parameters.
In ACLScript, you can use the abbreviation MIN for the MINIMUM( ) function even though it does not uniquely identify the function, which is the normal requirement when abbreviating. MIN could also be an abbreviation for MINUTE( ), however ACL reserves the abbreviation MIN for the MINIMUM( ) function.
Example | Return value |
---|---|
MIN(4, 7) |
4 |
MIN(7.5, 4) |
4.0 |
MIN(7.0000, 4.567) |
4.5670 |
