Enabling ACL Server connections

ACL has a preference setting for turning on or off support for connecting to ACL Server products. This setting is turned on by default. If it has been turned off, and you require access to this functionality, you can turn it back on by completing the following procedure.

The preference setting controls whether the menu items in the Server menu are enabled or not. You need to restart ACL in order to make this change, so you should save and close any open ACL projects before you begin.

To enable connections to ACL Server:

  1. Select Tools > Options.
  2. Click the Interface tab.
  3. Select the Enable ACL Server integration checkbox.
  4. Click OK. ACL displays a message box indicating that you must restart the application before the changes will take effect.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Select File > Exit to close ACL.

    The next time you start ACL the menu items in the Server menu will be enabled.
