You can modify an existing server profile whenever your settings, such as your password or the location of the server, change.
To modify a server profile:
Server Type – Must be Windows to connect to ACL Analytics Exchange Server.
Use Integrated Windows Authentication – If your organization is an ACL Analytics Exchange customer, and AX Server is configured to use Integrated Windows Authentication, select this checkbox to use your Windows account information to automatically log in when required.
User ID – The user ID required to log on to the server. This text box is disabled if Use Integrated Windows Authentication is selected.
Password – (Optional) The password required to log on to the server. This text box is disabled if Use Integrated Windows Authentication is selected.
You are not required to save your password with the profile. If you choose not to save your password, ACL will prompt you for it the first time you use the server profile each session. ACL will retain the password for the remainder of the session only.
Prefix – The file path for your working directory on the server.
Hostname – The hostname or IP address of the server to connect to. If you selected the Use Integrated Windows Authentication checkbox, you must specify the full hostname for the server. For example: ax.acl.com
Port – The port to use to connect to the server. The default value is 10000.
Encryption – Encrypts network communications between ACL and the server using a secure 32-bit encryption algorithm.
Compression – Compresses data sent between ACL and the server.
If you do not save your password with the profile, you will be prompted to enter it each time ACL attempts to establish a connection to the server.
