Importing workspaces from other ACL projects

You can copy field definitions from one project to another using workspaces. For example, if you use computed fields with complex conditions you can copy them to any projects where they are required and share them with other ACL users. This means that you do not need to recreate the field definitions each time you start a new project, and ensures that the fields are defined correctly wherever they are used.

To import one or more workspaces:

  1. Select the ACL project entry in the Overview tab of the Project Navigator.
  2. Right-click the project entry and select Copy from Another Project > Workspace.
  3. In the Locate Project File dialog box, locate and select the ACL project you want to import the workspace(s) from and click Open.
  4. In the Import dialog box, complete any of the following tasks:
    • Select an individual workspace in the From <project name> list and then click the right-arrow button to import it.

    • Ctrl+click multiple workspaces in the From <project name> list and then click the right-arrow button to import them.

    • Click Add All to import all of the workspaces in the project.

  5. Click OK.
