Options dialog box: Interface tab

The options in this tab determine the basic appearance and behavior of ACL.

Show Toolbar

The Show Toolbar option displays the toolbar at the top of the application screen. If you turn this option off, ACL does not display the toolbar on your application screen.

Include Filters in Field Lists

Select this option if you want logical fields, including filters, to appear in field lists. Logical fields are normally excluded from field lists. Because filters are actually implemented as logical fields, you can use this option to have filters appear in field lists so you can apply commands to them.

Warn Before Overwriting Files

This option displays a warning before ACL overwrites an existing file. If you turn this option off, ACL overwrites files without asking for confirmation.

This option can also be set in a script or on the command line. By turning this option off, you can avoid interruptions while executing a script that is designed to overwrite existing files.

Changes to this setting are recorded in the log using the following syntax:

SET SAFETY {ON|OFF}

Enable ACL Server integration

Select this option if you want to enable the functions that allow you to connect to ACL Analytics Exchange Connector.

Save All Scripts Locally

If this option is selected, all scripts are saved locally with the ACL project automatically. If this option is not selected, you are prompted to select whether the script file should be saved locally with the ACL project, or to the file system on an ACL Server using a Server Profile. If you are using ACL Analytics Exchange, you should save your scripts locally and then import the ACL project into AX Server using AX Client.

Beep(s) Upon Task Completion

This option indicates the number of beeps that sound when ACL completes a task. Enter a number from 0 to 255. This option is especially useful if you expect a task to take a long time. The default is 0.

Changes to this setting are recorded in the log using the following syntax:

SET BEEP value
