Adding comments to the log

You can manually add comments to the ACL command log to document the steps in your analysis, and to add explanations or descriptions that are relevant to the audit project. Adding comments to your project is a good way to document your work to provide you and other users with a record of the analysis completed and the results. When you add a comment it is added as the last item in the log.

To add a comment to the log:

  1. Select Tools > Add Comment.
  2. Enter the text you want to add as your comment in the Comment text box and click OK.

    Single-line comments are displayed in the treeview. For multi-line comments, you need to double-click the comment entry in the treeview to view the text of the comment.
