Activating indexes

When an index is created for a view an entry for the index is added to the Index drop-down list in the View tab. You can activate an index by selecting it from the list. When you are finished working with an index you can deactivate it, and restore the table to the original order by selecting (None) from the drop-down list. The index is activated for the table the view is associated with, so if the table has more than one view the index affects all of the views.
