Highlighting values in the Table View

You can apply formatting based on a condition to highlight specific values in the Table View in the Analysis App window. For example, you could make the background red for past due dates.

To highlight values in the Table View:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click the header of a column that contains values you want to highlight.

The sort and filter window opens. You can drag the sort and filter window to any location in the Table View.

    • Click Toggle filter configurations panel .

The View & Add Filters panel opens.

  2. If you are using the View & Add Filters panel, click Add new filter and select the column that contains values you want to highlight.

The sort and filter window opens. You can drag the sort and filter window to any location in the Table View.

  3. In the sort and filter window, click Options > Conditional formatting.
  4. Click Add another condition.
  5. Click Select an operator, select an appropriate operator from the drop-down list, and enter a character, numeric, or date value in the field beneath the list.

Date values must be entered using the format YYYY-MM-DD.

  6. Do one or both of the following:
    • Click the color square beside Text Color and select the highlight color you want.

    • Click the color square beside Background Color and select the highlight color you want.

  8. Click Save Rules.

If at least one value in the Table View meets the condition or conditions you specified, the highlighting appears.

If a value meets two or more conditions, the condition positioned lower in the list of conditions takes precedence.

  9. Click  in the title bar to close the sort and filter window.

If you are using the View & Add Filters panel, you can leave it open or click  in the title bar to close it.

  10. At any point in the process of specifying conditional formatting you can perform any of the following steps to modify, temporarily disable, or permanently delete a condition:
    • To modify a condition or the associated formatting, change the operator, the value, or the associated formatting and click Save Rules.

    • To temporary disable a condition and the associated formatting, click the toggle  for Text Color, Background Color, or both, and click Save Rules.
