Tracking row status
Track row statuses using a Row Status column. You can use one of the predefined row status templates that are included with Add-In for Excel or define custom templates. Each template contains the column title and the available values for the column.
Add a row status column
- Click the ACL Add-In tab and select Row Status > Add/Edit Row Status Columns.
- From the list of templates, select a template and click Add Column.
Tip
You can also define your own custom template. To add a template, click Add Template

Result the status row column is added to the table and you can assign row statuses.
Show and hide row status columns
To toggle the display of row status columns, click the ACL Add-In tab and select Row Status > Show Row Status Columns.
Delete a row status column
Note
You cannot undo deleting a status column. Assigned statuses are removed and cannot be recovered.
To delete a row status column, select a cell in the column you want to delete and on the ACL Add-In tab and select Row Status > Delete Row Status Columns.
In the Delete Row Status Column dialog box, enter a Reason for the deletion and then click Yes. The reason is recorded in the Add-In for Excel table history.
Assign statuses to rows
- Click the ACL Add-In tab and select ACL Add-In Panel.
- Select the row or rows to assign the status to by clicking inside a cell in the row.
Tip
Use Shift+click to select multiple adjacent rows or Ctrl+click to select multiple non-adjacent rows.

In the ACL Add-In panel, from the Row status list, select the appropriate status column and then from the adjacent list, select the status.
If you are assigning the status to a single row, you can also select the status from the list in the column.
Add a custom row status template
Add or edit the template
- To open the Edit Row Status Columns dialog box, click the ACL Add-In tab and then click Row Status > Add/Edit Row Status Columns.
- Add a new template by doing one of the following:
- To add a new empty template, click Add Template
.
- To duplicate an existing template, click Duplicate Template
.
- To edit an existing template, click Edit Template
.
- To add a new empty template, click Add Template
- In the Templates list, click Edit Template and name the new template and press Enter.
Template names must start with an alpha character.
Add or edit status values
With the template selected, in the Values list, use the following options:

Use the template or save it for later use
To use the template now and add a row status column to the table, click Add Column. Otherwise click Close and the template is saved for later use.
Delete a row status template
Note
If you delete a row status template that is associated with an existing row status column, the row status column remains in the table with its values unchanged until you delete the column. For more information, see Delete a row status column.
- To open the Edit Row Status Columns dialog box, click the ACL Add-In tab and then click Row Status > Add/Edit Row Status Columns.
- From the list of templates, select the one you want to delete and click Delete Template
.
- In the confirmation dialog, click Yes and then click Close.
