Repair the Add-In for Excel installation

If you accidentally disable the ACL Add-In tab, you may be able repair your Add-In for Excel installation without having to perform a re-installation. You can also use the repair option to specify a new Server name or Port for AX Server if this information changes.

  1. On your Windows operating system, open the Control Panel and navigate to Programs > Uninstall a program.
  2. Select the ACL Add-In entry and click Repair or Change.

    The available option depends on your version of Windows.

Note

If you are using Windows XP and have the Add-In for Excel installation files saved on your workstation, double-click setup.exe and choose the Repair option.

If you are using Windows XP and do not have the Add-In for Excel installation files, open a command prompt as an administrator, navigate to C:\Program Files\ACL Software\ACL Add-in or C:\Program Files (x86)\ACL Software\ACL Add-in, and execute adxregistrator.exe /install=“ACLAddin.dll” /privileges=admin.
