Auto-delete analytic jobs using Results Cleanup
Use Results Cleanup to automatically delete analytic jobs and results a specific number of days after the job completes. Results Cleanup is useful if a large number of results accumulate in your AX Server installation.
How it works
You configure Results Cleanup individually for each analytic and it occurs at 1:00 AM AX Server time after a specified number of days elapse. By default, Results Cleanup is turned off.
Example
- if you specify 15 days, the analytic job and results are automatically deleted at 1:00 AM 15 days after the job end time
- if you specify 0, the analytic job and results are automatically deleted every day at 1:00 AM
Setup Results Cleanup for an analytic
Note
To auto-delete analytic jobs, you must have Full permissions for the folder containing the analytic and Results Cleanup must be enabled globally by your ACL GRC Analytics Exchange.
- In the Server Explorer, select the analytic to configure Results Cleanup for.
- In the Properties view, in the Results
Cleanup section of the Configuration tab,
select Delete analytic results after the following number
of days.
If the Results Cleanup section is disabled, one of the following is true:
- you do not have the required permissions for the folder containing the analytic
- auto-deletion has not been enabled globally for your installation of ACL GRC Analytics Exchange
Tip
You can also access Results Cleanup by selecting one of the jobs associated with the analytic in the Analytic Jobs tab. Auto-deletion is configurable at the analytic level only, even when you access Results Cleanup at the job level.
- In the field next to Delete analytic results
after the following number of days, enter the number
of days that must elapse before auto-deletion occurs.
Note
Job timestamps use the AX Server clock and time zone.

Click Save.
A warning dialog appears that tells you how many existing analytic jobs and associated results will be deleted the first time the auto-deletion process runs. Click Yes to confirm your configuration.
