Table import and overwrite combinations
When you import a table to AX Server, and overwrite an identically named table, the result depends on the type of table you are importing, and the type of table you are overwriting.
Possible combinations
Note
Shared table (one) indicates that only one shared table is copied or overwritten. Shared tables (more than one) indicates that multiple shared tables are copied or overwritten. If a user copies multiple shared tables and overwrites a single table, such as a standalone table, only one of the multiple shared tables is involved in the overwrite operation.
Local tables
Local tables have a table layout and an associated source data file that both reside on your local desktop computer.

Server tables
Server tables have a table layout that resides on your local desktop computer, and an associated source data file that resides on the AX Server.
Note
Same data file means that the server table imported from Analytics, and the overwritten table in AX Server, are associated with the same source data file in AX Server. Different data file means that the server table and the overwritten table are associated with different source data files in AX Server.
