Rename an analytic or analysis app
Analytic and analysis app names must be unique within the containing analysis app or folder. When you rename an analytic, the new name appears in the Server Explorer and the analytic header.
Analytic script names that appear on the Scripts tab must be updated in the AX Client script editor or in Analytics. For more information, see Renaming analytics and scripts.
- From the Server Explorer, select the item to rename and then from the menu, select File > Rename.
- Enter a name that conforms with the following naming restrictions and then press Enter:
- name is unique in the containing sub-folder
- name has the correct file extension suffix to open in the default Windows application
- name does not contain any of the following characters: / \ : * < > | .
