Configuring the network configuration profile

The Profile settings in the Oracle Net Manager need to be configured to support SSL. You need to provide the location of the Oracle Wallet file that stores the SSL certificate for authentication, and the cypher suites used to encrypt communications between the Oracle database server and the ACL Analytics Exchange applications.

To configure the Profile settings:

  1. Select Start > All Programs > Oracle - <instance> > Configuration and Migration Tools > Net Manager.
  2. Select the Profile entry in the Oracle Net Configuration treeview.
  3. Select Oracle Advanced Security from the drop-down list at the top of the Profile form.
    Note

If the Oracle Advanced Security option is not listed in the drop-down list, you need to confirm that this component is installed. If the component is installed, but it is still not listed add ANO to the INSTALLEDCOMPONENTS setting in the NETWORK\tools\NETPROPERTIES file where the Oracle database instance is installed.

  4. Select the SSL tab.
  5. Select the Server radio button.
  6. Enter the path to folder where the Oracle Wallet file you have configured is stored, or click Browse and select the folder.
  7. Click Add in the Cipher Suite Configuration panel.
  8. Select the Show US Domestic Cypher Suites checkbox.
  9. Select each of the following cypher suites and click OK. You need to add each of the cypher suites individually.
    Authentication Encryption Data Integrity
    DH_anon 3DES_EDE_CBC SHA
    DH_anon RC4_128 MD5
    DH_anon DES_CBC SHA
    RSA_EXPORT DES40_CBC SHA
    RSA_EXPORT RC4_40 MD5
  10. Deselect the Require Client Authentication checkbox.
  11. Select File > Save Network Configuration.
