Uninstalling ACL Analytics Exchange components
The number of steps required to uninstall ACL Analytics Exchange depends on the complexity of your installation. If you have a simple configuration, you may just need to uninstall AX Server from a single server. If you have a more complex configuration you may need to uninstall individual ACL Analytics Exchange components from several servers. You can uninstall individual ACL Analytics Exchange components if you need to reconfigure your system.
After you uninstall an ACL Analytics Exchange component there may be log files and configuration files that you need to delete manually to completely remove the component from the computer. The following files and folders may need to be removed manually:
-
AX Server – The uninstall program leaves the configuration and log files for AX Server on the computer. These files are located in the geronimo\var\config and geronimo\var\log subfolders where AX Server is installed. The uninstall program also leaves the Data subdirectory intact. You can either delete the folder manually, or move the files if you want to restore the data folder in another location. The installation_backup subfolder is also left on the computer, and can be deleted after the uninstall.
-
AX Engine Node – The App, Data, and Installation_backup subfolders, located where AX Engine Node is installed, are left on the computer, and can be deleted after you uninstall the application.
-
PostgreSQL database server – If you are using PostgreSQL as the database platform for AX Server, the PostgreSQL database files are left in place when the application files are uninstalled. The ACL\App\pgsql91\data subfolder contains the ACL Analytics Exchange database files. The folder contents are not deleted. You can either delete the folder manually, or move the files if you want to restore the database in another location. If you move the database you should delete the server.crt and server.key files because they are specific to the server they were created on.
-
Oracle database server – If you are using Oracle as the database platform for AX Server, the Oracle database is not removed when the application files are uninstalled.
