End of support announcements

Note

This page only covers end of support information for products that were originally created by the former Galvanize. Not all Diligent products are represented here.

As technology and security evolve, we need to end support for various Galvanize, Diligent, and third-party products or technologies. See the following sections for full details.

Supported versions of Analytics

We support the current and immediately previous major versions of Analytics. However, we always try to provide the best service we can, and when possible will support customers using older versions of Analytics.

Analytics Exchange

Event Description Date
Last maintenance release Expected date for a final maintenance release. August 2021
End of support The last date after which product support will no longer be available. January 1, 2023

Why are we ending support of AX?

Many of our AX customers have successfully moved to the ACL Robotics platform. These customers have not only eliminated complex and costly upgrades, but are now enjoying the benefits of new script management features, and full access to Results workflows, visualizations, and storyboards. The decision to end support for AX will allow us to focus on innovating our Robotics platform faster, and ultimately deliver a better experience.

If you are still happily using AX, don't worry. You can continue to use AX until the end of support date, but we recommend that you contact your Diligent representative to create a plan to migrate to ACL Robotics as soon as possible.

Can I still perform my data analytics on-premise with ACL Robotics?

Your organizational data can still stay on-premise with ACL Robotics. ACL Robotics includes access to the cloud-based Results and Storyboards apps for remediating and visualizing your data analytic results, but using these components is optional.

The difference is that program, script, and user management are in the Diligent One cloud platform. This eliminates the need for lengthy upgrades for new functionality.

Note that Diligent One is FedRAMP and SOC 2 certified.

  1. Watch Level up from AX to ACL Robotics. This on-demand webinar covers the benefits of migration, what you need to know before getting started, and how Diligent can help.
  2. Get ready to migrate. Read the Analytics Exchange to Robots migration guide.

TLS 1.0 and 1.1

End of support date: January 31, 2021

For your security, as of January 31, 2021, ACL versions 11.x or older may cease to work due to critical security improvements that ACL 11.x may not support.

We recommend that anyone still using ACL 11.x upgrades to the latest version as soon as possible so that their work is not interrupted.

We'd also like to remind customers that Diligent policy is to support the current and previous major versions of ACL. ACL 11.x has not been supported since the release of ACL Analytics 13.

Background

Across the industry, technology companies are taking action to secure vulnerabilities by dropping support of the older encryption protocols, TLS 1.0 and 1.1 (for example, Transport Layer Security 1.0 and 1.1 disablement).

As of January 31, 2021, Launchpad will no longer accept connections using TLS 1.0 and 1.1. All applications will need to communicate to Launchpad using TLS 1.2+

Impact

All applications that interact with Launchpad must use TLS 1.2 or greater to connect:

  • Web browsers

  • ACL Analytics

  • Excel Add-in

  • Mobile Apps

  • Custom API Scripts

TLS 1.2 is supported by the product versions listed below. If you are using these versions of software or later, dropping support of TLS 1.0/1.1 will have no impact:

If you are using a version of ACL or AX older than those listed above, we recommend you upgrade to a supported version as soon as possible.

If your security policies won't allow you to upgrade from ACL 11

ACL Analytics version 11.x's activation is the same as the current versions of ACL (12-16). In other words, there is no difference between how ACL 11 activates and ACL 16 activates, other than ACL 11 uses TLS 1.0/1.1, while newer versions use updated TLS protocols. Please contact your Diligent representative if you would like clarification on the activation methodology.
