Messenger iOS advanced settings
Messenger iOS offers advanced settings that alter specific behaviors of the application.

Access additional settings by select the Settings icon on the home screen of your device.

Scroll down the list of settings in the left column and select the Messenger iOS icon.
The list of settings appears.

Under Allow Messenger to Access, select the options that control which iOS features Messenger iOS can use:

Siri & Search: This option does not function with Messenger iOS. Content in Diligent is secured and is never available to Siri or iOS search, regardless of whether this setting is turned on or off.

Notifications: Control how Messenger iOS alerts you to new messages, including whether it should show messages on the lock screen, or the number of new messages on the App icon.

Background App Refresh: Receive new messages even when the app is not in active use.

To reset all local data, select Advanced and then Delete Local Data Next Start.
This clears all local data in the app the next time it is closed and re-opened.
Note
To set a message retention policy for Diligent Messenger, your administrator must contact Diligent. By default, this policy is set to 15 days; all messages, attachments, and notifications about board materials that are older than this setting will be deleted.
