Messenger iOS app settings

Change how Messenger iOS behaves from your in-app settings.

  1. Select the menu icon .

    A side bar opens.

  2. If you are a member of more than one Boards site select the site you want to manage.

  3. Select the settings icon .

  4. To change the behavior of the Return key on an external keyboard, select App Settings and choose whether the key creates a new line in a message, or sends it immediately.

    1. In App settings you can also view any settings applied by your site Administrator or by Diligent Support.

  5. To manually update your password at any time, select Change Password.

    Note

    Your new password must meet complexity requirements that are set by your company's security policy. As a general guide, passwords are typically case sensitive and will require at least one capital letter, at least one lower-case letter, at least one number, a minimum of eight or more characters, and cannot contain your user name.

  6. To see a list of all Diligent Global Support phone numbers, select Global Support. Select the number you wish to call.

  7. To turn Touch ID authentication on or off, select Touch ID.

    This setting does not appear if your device does not have Touch ID or Face ID technology, or if these features are not enabled for your site.

  8. Device Info displays information on the device that may be useful for Diligent Global Support, including device name and device ID.

  9. To reset Messenger iOS to a default state, select Reset Application. Your conversations will remain stored on your site, but you will need to reconfigure any settings and re-enter your site name and sign-in credentials next time you access Messenger.

  10. Select Done to confirm any changes you've made to settings.
