Managing conversations

Like any other messaging service you may have lots of groups and conversations in your list. You can organize your conversations by hiding and filtering them.

Filter a conversation list

You can filter conversations to narrow your view to specific messages based on your selected criteria. Filters can be adjusted or removed at any time to change what you see.

1. Select the conversation icon and select the dropdown menu icon under Conversations.

   A menu opens.

2. Select your preferred option from the menu.

• Visible filters for all your conversations that are not hidden.

• Unread filters for all conversations that have messages yet to be opened and read.

• Tagged filters for all conversations where you have been tagged in a message.

• Hidden filters for conversations that have been hidden.

Hide a conversation

Hide a conversation or group when you no longer want to see it in your list. They will reappear when a new message is sent to that conversation or group.

1. Select the conversation icon and select the conversation you want to hide.

2. Select the More options icon .

   A menu opens.

3. Select the Hide option.

Note

The options will depend on whether it is a group or conversation you have selected.

• Hide conversation appears when you have selected a conversation not part of a group.

• Hide conversation & group appears when you have selected a group conversation.

The conversation disappears from your list.

Mute a conversation

Mute a conversation when you no longer want to be notified of new messages. An icon appears next to the conversation indicating it is muted and can be unmuted when you want.

1. Select the conversation icon and select the group or conversation you want to mute.

2. Select the more options icon .

   A menu opens.

3. Select Mute conversation.

   A mute icon appears next to the conversation.

   You won't receive notifications when new messages are sent until you unmute it.
