Admin management of Messenger settings
As an Account Administrator you can modify certain Messenger Web settings for your users. You will notice a clear distinction between the settings you can control and those still managed by Diligent Customer Success Managers. Each setting is clearly explained, helping you avoid unintended consequences when configuring them.
To change any Diligent-controlled settings, contact your Customer Success Manager or Global Support.

Go to your messenger account, in the left-hand navigation bar select the settings icon
.The App Settings page opens.

Go to the Admin-controlled settings .
The settings that Administrators can check or uncheck are displayed.

Select Save to activate any changes.
Settings
Admin-controlled settings are configured by your site manager.

| Copy messages | Permit users to copy messages from a conversation that may be saved or forwarded. |
| View chat history | Permit users who join a conversation to view all messages sent before they joined. |
| Edit messages |
Permit users to edit or delete messages after they have been sent. The time limit for this action is applied in the Delete/Edit time limit field. |
| Delete/Edit time limit (minutes) |
Set how long users have to edit or delete their messages. Setting must be between 3 minutes and 30 minutes. |
| Forward messages/attachments | Permit users to forward messages and attachments to other users on their site or in their organization. |
| Secure attachements | Prevent attachments from being previewed or downloaded. |
Diligent-controlled settings are configured by your Customer Success Manager. Contact them to make any changes.

| Attach files | Permit users to attach files to messages. |
| Max file size (MB) | Set file size limit for message attachments. |
| Retain message limit (days) |
Set the maximum number of days messages are saved before deletion. The setting must equal or be greater than the Download message limit. |
| Download message limit (days) | Set the maximum number of days a message is available for download. |
| Send unread message notification | Send unread message notifications to users. |
| Send one unread message notification | Select to send only one unread message notification to users. |
| Unread message notification limit (minutes) | Set the maximum number of minutes before an unread message is sent. |
