Searching in Messenger
Use the Messenger Web search functionality to find text in messages you’ve sent or received, as well as search for contacts, groups, and announcements.

In Messenger Web, select the Search field.
A panel opens with options to refine your search.

All Searches across all your messages, groups, contacts, and attachments.

Announcements Searches across the announcements sent by your admin.

Messages Searches the text of all your available sent and received messages, including individual and group chats.

Contacts Searches the names in your contacts.

Groups Searches the names in your groups.

Select your preferred option and enter your search criteria.
Searches include exact-match results for the text you entered.

Choose from the results of your search to go to that message, contact, group, or attachment.
Note
Contacts and Groups searches do not search message text, just contacts and group names, respectively. To find text within conversations, select the Messages option.
