Authenticator app FAQ
An authenticator app is a mobile security app that you download on your phone or tablet. It generates a temporary security code that adds an extra layer of protection when signing in to your account using two-factor authentication (2FA).
Using an authenticator app helps to keep your sensitive board materials secure and ensures that Boards meets the highest industry standards for security.

How do I use an authenticator app?
Download the authenticator app of your choice.
When signing in for the first time with the app and 2FA, you’ll be asked to scan or enter a registration code into the authenticator app. This code links the app to your Boards account. The app continuously generates a new 6-digit security code, typically every 30 seconds depending on the app. Each time you need to sign in to your account, you’ll use the unique 6-digit code that’s generated by the authenticator app.
Even if someone knows your password, they can't access your account without also having access to your phone and the authenticator app.
