Using Diligent Messenger in Boards
Diligent Messenger is a secure messaging tool that lets you conduct sensitive organizational communication with the same level of protection as your board materials. Through the Messenger mini-window, Messenger users can send and receive messages in the Boards app.

Select the Diligent Messenger icon at the top of the screen.
Note
You can also access Diligent Messenger in Boards via the "Diligent Messenger" button in the left-hand navigation panel.

A list of your available conversations appears. Select any conversation to open it.
Note
If a list of conversations does not appear, Diligent Messenger is not enabled for either you or your organization. Contact your administrator for more information.

To continue a conversation, select the Reply field, then type in your response.

Select the Send button to send your message.

Select the information button to see the members of the current conversation or group.

Select the Back arrow to return to your conversation list.

To start a new conversation, select the New Conversation button on any screen within the Messenger window.

To add recipients to a new conversation, select the To field, then begin typing.

A list of suggested individuals and groups in your organization appears below the field. Select a name to add it to the recipient list, and repeat this step until all recipients have been added.
Note
Multiple individuals may be added to a conversation, but preset groups (which appear with a "group" icon in the list of suggested results) cannot be mixed with individuals in the recipient list.

To remove a person's name from the recipient list, select the X next to their name.

Select the Type a message field to access the on-screen keyboard.

After typing your message, select the Send button to send it.

Select the Go to Diligent Messenger button at any time to open the full Messenger app, with access to more features like contact lists and board announcements.

To close the Messenger window, select the Messenger icon again, or just select anywhere outside of the window.
