Books can contain documents that need to be approved, with or without an electronic signature. This topic describes how to locate your pending approvals and submit a response online.

  1. If a book contains approval documents that need your attention, select the Approvals icon in the bookshelf list view. The number of pending approvals will be displayed on the red badge.

  2. To go directly to the signature page in the approval document, select Go to Approval page. If the approval doesn't require a signature, you'll be taken to the first page of the approval document.

    Note

    If an administrator updated the book, you'll need to sync the book before you can view the approval document and submit your response.

  3. To open the approval document, which contains information to review for the approval, select View document.

  4. To approve, select the radio button next to an approval option, and then select Submit Approval.

  5. You'll be asked to confirm your selection. You may also see the option to add a comment. Only you and the approval administrator will be able to view any comments you add.

    Note

    Approval requires an online connection to Diligent Boards. Approval will not work in offline mode. Once you submit your response, you cannot change your decision.
