Using Touch ID
Once Touch ID is enabled and configured, you're ready to use it to confirm your identity for sign-in and other authentication requirements.
-
Select the Diligent Boards icon to open the application.
-
At the on-screen prompt, press and hold your Touch ID fingerprint on your iPad's home button. After a second or two, you will be signed in.
Note
If you are not prompted to sign in with Touch ID, contact your administrator or Diligent to ensure that Touch ID is enabled for your site, confirm that Touch ID is available and enabled on your device, and be sure that the Enable Touch ID checkbox is checked on the sign-in screen.
-
You will be able to use Touch ID to confirm your identity any time you would normally be prompted to enter your credentials, including session expiration and selecting a different board site.
-
If you are unable to sign in successfully via Touch ID after 3 attempts, it will be disabled and you will be prompted to sign in with your username and password.
Note
If Touch ID is disabled, you can re-enable it by checking the Enable Touch ID checkbox and following these steps.
-
If 5 (non-consecutive) unsuccessful attempts occur, you will be required to manually re-enter your device passcode. If the passcode is entered incorrectly, Touch ID will be disabled for the app.
Note
If Touch ID is disabled, you can re-enable it by checking the Enable Touch ID checkbox and following these steps.
