Creating the initial link to your Diligent Boards site in Microsoft Teams

Make board and committee meetings more efficient and productive with instant access to the information you need from Diligent Boards in Microsoft Teams. During the initial setup, you'll create a unique ID that links your site to your Microsoft Teams account. You must create the initial link before users can access resources from the Boards Web Admin account in Microsoft Teams. This topic explains how to create the initial link to the Diligent Boards app in Microsoft Teams.

You must have a Microsoft Teams account in order to access the features described in this topic.

  1. Open the Microsoft Teams app on your personal device or web browser.

  2. To view a list of available applications, select Apps on the left side of the screen.

  3. To add the app, select Diligent Boards from the list of applications.

  4. A confirmation window appears. Select Add to proceed.

  5. To link your site to your Microsoft Teams account, select Confirm on the next screen.

  6. A sign-in window appears. Enter the site name for your company in the Site Name field.

  7. Select Continue to proceed.

  8. Enter your username in the User name field.

  9. Enter your password in the Password field.

  10. Select Sign in.

  11. Once your sign-in credentials are validated, your site will be linked to your Microsoft Teams account via a unique ID. The initial setup is complete. Directors with a Boards Web Director account can add the app in Microsoft Teams to access their meeting materials from a centralized location.
