Watermarking documents

Watermarking adds information on who views or exports a document and the date on which they view it. Watermarks can be displayed on exported documents, as well as the page view in the Current Books hub, the Archived Books hub, and the Resource Center hub. This topic explains the watermarking feature.

  1. To enable watermarking on the page view and/or for exported documents, contact your Customer Success Manager. You can also enable watermarking from the Site Management hub. See Setting site properties to learn more.

  2. By default, watermarks appear behind the text of the document and display the user's name. Below their name, the date the user viewed the document appears.

  3. You can add custom text to the default watermark. Custom text appears in place of the user's name. The user's name will be moved to the second line, alongside the date.

    Note

To add custom text to watermarks, contact your Customer Success Manager or go to the Site Management hub.
