Follow the presenter

Ideal for meetings and presentations, the Follow the Presenter feature allows users to keep up with book navigation in real time as they are shown or discussed. Anyone who has chosen to "Follow" the book sees their pages automatically turn to match the page view of the "Presenter."

  1. Presenter mode To become the presenter, select Present. You receive an alert that you are presenting.

  2. When you select Present, all users viewing the book receive a message that you are presenting.

  3. Followers do not see your screen, so any notes or annotations you make are only visible to you. Your followers only see their own instance of the page you are viewing.

  4. Follow mode To follow a presenter, select Follow. You receive an alert that you are following the presenter.

  5. If no one is currently presenting and you select Follow, you automatically start following when a user selects Present on their own page.

    Note

If you are currently following a presenter and they navigate away from the page that is currently being presented or add a note or annotation, you automatically stop following. You need to select the "Follow" button to resume following.

  6. You also receive an alert to tell you who's presenting.

  7. If you make a note or annotation on your own page when following the presenter, you automatically stop following so you can finish taking notes on your page even if the presenter moves to the next page. Select Follow to resume following the presenter.

  8. If someone is presenting and you would like to present, select Present. This stops the current presenter and an alert is displayed.

  9. When you are following a presenter who stops presenting, an alert appears.

    Note

If you selected Follow and there is currently not a presenter, you do not need to select Follow again when a presenter begins presenting.
