Edit files and folders in Documents

Documents is the secure repository in Diligent Workflow where you can manage your files and folders (items) and share them with others. You can also copy files from Documents to your Jobs.

Edit a folder

After your folder is created you can make edits.

  1. Go to the Documents tab and select the folder you want to manage.

  2. Select the file's more options icon to open a menu.

Your permission and the item will determine the actions you can take.

Description

Rename

Give the folder a new name.

Delete

This option is only available to administrators.

Select to delete a folder.

Download

Select to download a zipped file of the folder’s contents to your device.

Move

Select to move the folder into or out of a folder. You can also drag the folder to your preferred location.

Permissions

This option is only available to administrators.

This allows you to set permissions to determine who can view a folder. Toggle the Custom Permissions, then select the plus symbol to add a permission.

  • Condition: Choose from Usergroup or Business area.

  • Value: Select from the list.

Select Save.

 

Edit a file

After a file is uploaded to the Documents tab you can manage it in several ways to keep the space organized.

  1. Go to the Documents tab and select the file you want to manage.

  2. Select the file's more options icon to open a menu.

Give the filer a new name.

Only administrators will have this option

New Version

Select to upload a new version.

Download

Select to download the file to your device.

Move

Select to move the file into or out of a folder. You can also drag the file to your preferred location.

Versions

Select to view the history and versions of a file. You can download older versions of a file to your device by selecting the title.
