Process individual share transactions
In Diligent Equity you can create and process share transactions, such as sale, transfer, etc., subsequent to the original issuance.

Go to the Securities section in the navigation sidebar and select Shares.
A list opens.

Select the relevant issuance of shares and select the Shareholder name.
The Allocations details of the shareholder opens.

Go to the Share transactions tab and select Shares transaction.
A New Stock Transaction wizard opens.

Enter the transaction information.

Reason: Select the reason for transaction from the menu.

Date: Enter the date manually or select the date picker icon

Shares: Enter the number of shares to be included in the transaction.

Comment: Enter any notes regarding the shares transaction.

Select Next to enter the Transaction Information.

Select Next to review your Stock Transaction Summary as well as update the certificate information for the shares transaction.
Note
This step is optional and can be skipped. If certificates do exist Diligent Equity will remind you to update and create new certificates as required.

Select Finish to process the transaction on your Diligent Equity cap table.
Your Share Transactions are displayed.

Select Add another shares transaction or Close to exit the window.
Tip

A new allocation will be created under the Shares Tab in the navigation bar. The new holder will be listed here with all the correct information entered for the grant, along with a comment pointing to how the shares were received.

When you select the transaction you can select Settings to see the information relating to the transaction.

You can change the name of the Issuance round in the settings to something more descriptive if you would like.

You can select the more options icon
or the buyer's name to view Allocation details.
Share transactions and the cap table
After processing a share transaction, the cap table will update automatically. The new shareholder will be listed in the grid and their shares will be visible in the relevant share type column.
Use the Diligent Equity As at functionality to review the cap table before and after the share transaction took place.
