Grant investor access
Using Diligent Equity, companies can invite their investors, or other shareholders, to the cap table. There are two permission types that you can choose from depending on the level of access the Investor should have.

After you have determined the level of access the investor / shareholder should have to the cap table set up their account.

Verify the Investor / Shareholder email in the Holding tab as this is the email address that will appear in the Permissions tab. For additional steps, see Shareholder management.

Navigate to Permissions tab on the Navigation bar

Select the blue New Permission button in the top right corner

In the Permission dropdown, select which Investor View Permission is relevant for this Investor / Shareholder.

Search for the Investor's name in the Shareholder field. Once selected, the Name and Email, verified in Step 1, will populate.
Note
You cannot edit the email address from this view. If the email address for the selected Investor / Shareholder needs to change, do so from the Holders Tab.

Click Next to review the email language that will be sent to the Investor / Shareholder. Do not remove or edit the unique link that populates. If this is removed, or changed in any way, the Investor / Shareholder will not be able to log into their account.

Click the Finish button to share the cap table with the selected Investor / Shareholder.
