Uploading activity data with Repeat Upload

Use the Repeat Upload feature to upload Excel sheets almost instantly using saved mapping settings from a previous upload. For example, if you want to upload electricity data every month or quarter into an activity, you can save the mapping layout when completing the first upload. Then next month, using the Repeat Upload feature, you can choose the saved settings and upload automatically using the mapping saved from the previous upload.

Important

The Repeat Upload feature only works if you use the exact same spreadsheet template as when you saved the settings originally. If you rearrange the tab or sheet structure or update the template or the content contained within, then the system will reject the upload and you will have to map and save the spreadsheet settings again.

Saving settings for Repeat Upload

When uploading data to a single activity, you can save your chosen mapping and sheet selection settings to use in future uploads.

  1. In Diligent ESG toolbar, select Data Management and select GHG Activities, Energy Use Activities, Meter Manager, or Transport.

  2. Complete Steps 2 to 12 outlined in Uploading activity data to a single activity in bulk.

  3. Select the Save settings for re-use checkbox.

  4. In the Name field, enter a name for the saved settings.

  5. In the Description field, enter an informative description of the saved settings, and select Continue.
