Configuration: Unique ID
The 'IO_UNIQUEID' is a system generated ID that allows for the possible reuse of a Quick Reference.
Note
As a practice, reuse of Quick References should be avoided.
All records have an identifier that distinguishes them from other records. Quick References (QuickRefs) are used in Diligent Entities as a field identifier, but can be changed, copied, recreated, or reused. A Unique ID will create a foreign key that is primarily used for bidirectional feeds. The IO_UNIQUEID is a system generated ID that allows for the possible reuse of a QR.
Unique Identifiers can be refreshed by using the link in the Configuration Page. New Unique IDs will update the associated Total without UID count.
To locate the Unique IDs section:
- Navigate to: System Tools > Data Exchange Manager > Configuration > Unique IDs (section)
- (As required) Select Refresh.
The Total Without UID count will be updated.
