Signing Status

Diligent Entities eSignatures has been updated with the ability to track the current signed status of each recipient for a document.

Awareness of the current signature status for each recipient presents an efficient way to both monitor and manage the overall progress of a Signature Request, for the duration of its lifecycle.

View Progress

To access the current signed status of an existing Signature Request:

  • Navigate to: required Signature Request (Quick Reports) > eSignatures > required Signature Request.

The Quick Reports - eSignatures screen displays.

  • Select the related Actions menu and select the View Progress option.

A Details Panel displays on the right-hand side of the screen.

The Document Name and Subject display in the Details section of the panel, above an overall document signature status.

The signed statuses for each recipient are grouped under the relevant status headers.

The following statuses are available for each recipient signature:

Created

The request is in a draft state and has not been sent to recipients.

Note

Only associated with draft envelopes (envelopes with a created status).

Sent An email notification has been sent to the recipient indicating that it is their turn to sign an envelope.

Delivered

The recipient has viewed the document(s) in an envelope via the DocuSign website.

Note

This status does not refer to the email delivery of the documents in an envelope.

Signed

The recipient has performed all required actions in the envelope (for example, signing or entering data).

Note

This is a temporary state during processing, after which the recipient is automatically assigned a Completed status.

Declined The recipient has declined to sign the document(s) in the envelope.

Completed The recipient has completed all required actions for an envelope (for example, signing or other non-signer actions).

To close the Details Panel:

  • Select the X located in the top right-hand corner of the Panel.

The Details Panel closes and the eSignatures Quick Report returns to a full-screen view.

View Signees

Once a document has been signed by all recipients (Completed), the View Progress action option will be replaced with a View Signees option.

  • Select the View Signees option.

A list of the recipients who have signed the document displays in the Details Panel.

In the Details section, a Complete status will display.

Beneath the Completed Status Header will be a list of each signee. The date and time of their signature will also be recorded.
