Updating control activities in bulk

On the Controls page, you can manage multiple cards in bulk. You can update control activities such as walkthroughs, tests, and test plans in bulk.

To update a set of control activities in bulk, follow these steps:

  1. From the Launchpad home page (www.highbond.com), select the Assessments app to open it.

    If you are already in Diligent One, you can use the left-hand navigation menu to switch to the Assessments app.

  2. Under My Activities, select Controls.
  3. Select Show bulk update. The cards that are available for updates are listed.

  4. Select the filters to display the desired cards. Select Reset to return the filters to the default. If you select a card, the filter is automatically applied.

  5. From the list of the cards, select the card for which you want to update the activities in bulk.

  6. Click Select All or the desired cards and click Update.

    Select checkboxes and select the requirements. The Update button is enabled. An error message displays if the Update button is selected prior to completing all required fields.

    Enable Are you testing this…? and select Yes to edit all properties for Control Tests.

     

  7. Select Update after completing all required fields. The Update confirmation modal displays the selected Project details and the request to review the information before confirming your changes.

  8. Review the information, select the confirmation checkbox, and select the Update button. The Updating items progress modal displays. When the updates are completed, the Item(s) were successfully updated modal shows the number of items updated.

    Tip

    If some/all, of the updates fail, the Unable to update modal displays a paginated list of activities that failed to update. Each list item is the title of the activity.

    • Select list items to open their activity in new browser tabs.

    • Select the modal’s Retry button to update all failed activities with the original inputs.

  9. Select Close. The function reverts to the Controls Activities screen listing all the remaining activities matching your previously specified filter, if there is any.

  10. Select the RESET FILTERS button. The app displays your control activities awaiting completion. The updates performed on the bulk updated cards can be verified by expanding the respective activity cards.
