Overview of Asset Manager

Asset Manager is an app in Diligent One that helps you manage assets in your organization.

The Asset Manager app requires a subscription to IT Risk Management (previously ITRMBond) or Third Party Risk Management (previously ThirdPartyBond).

Note

The Asset Manager app is not the only way to manage your assets. You can do this in the Asset Inventory app also, but the Asset Manager app offers better user experience and time to value. Asset Manager is also more suited to manage your IT and third-party assets.

What are assets?

Assets represent things that are of value to your organization. Assets can be tangible, like laptops, servers, and software, or they can be intangible, like third-party business relationships, intellectual property, and policies. By tracking your organization's assets, you protect your organization from fraud, theft, compliance issues, and unacceptable risk.

Assets exist in an ecosystem full of not just the assets themselves, but other objects like risks and controls. By relating different objects together, you build more meaningful structures and processes that accurately reflect the assets you have and how you should evaluate and track them.
