Creating a BoardEffect system administrator

The system administrator (or top-level administrator) has the highest level of BoardEffect access, including anything in the Settings menu. In addition, system administrators are the only organizational staff who can request back end changes to settings and authorize BoardEffect staff to access their portal for troubleshooting help.

We recommend creating at least two system administrators, so someone is always available to assist all users at your organization. This topic describes how to create a system administrator.

  1. On the BoardEffect home page, on the left-side Navigation Bar, select Directory .

  2. To open a user's profile page, select their name.

  3. To change their permissions, select the arrow on the top left, and then select Set Permissions from the menu.

  4. To create a system administrator, select the System Administrator checkbox in the Access and Permissions dialog box.

  5. To save your changes, select Save.

  6. The system administrator has a star icon next to their name.

    Note

To view a list of every system administrator at your organization, go to Site Settings > Manage Users > Summary.
