Organize folders in a BoardEffect library

In a Resource Library, you can organize folders by name and date.

  1. On the BoardEffect home page, on the left-side Navigation Bar, select Library .

  2. Select the relevant workroom for the Resource Library, for example, Board of Directors.

  3. By default, folders in the library are organized by name. To sort in alphabetical order, from A-Z, select Name. To reverse the alphabetical order, from Z to A, select Name again.

  4. You can also sort the folders by date. To sort from the most recent to the least recent date, select Date Modified.

  5. Folders are also organized based on file types, such as Books and Folders.

    Note

You cannot update the file Type sort.

  6. To improve the structure of library folders, you can edit the folder names. Select the options icon to the far right of the relevant folder's name, and then select Edit.

For more information, see Edit a BoardEffect library folder.

  7. You can organize the folders by creating custom naming conventions, for example:

    • Alphabetical: Add a letter before the title of a folder. Letters should be capitalized and followed by a period, for example, A.

    • Numerical: Add a number before the title of a folder. Numbers should include two digits, for example, 01, 02, 10, 25.

    • Date: Add a date at the beginning of a name. Enter a date by year, month, day, or year/month/date, for example, yyyy/mm/dd.
