Adding files to a Meeting Book

You can upload supporting documents and files to your Meeting Book, which can be downloaded from the agenda. This topic includes instructions for adding files to the Meeting Book and suggestions to prepare large documents for upload.

Add files to the Meeting Book

Once you have created a Meeting Book and added categories, you can upload files.

  1. Open a Meeting Book, and then move through the page to the categories section. To view more details, select Expand.

  2. To add a file with the drag-and-drop feature, select and hold a file from your local computer, and then drag it to the outlined text field in the Main Category or Subcategory.

  3. To add a file manually, select the click for more options link.

  4. To upload a file from a specific location, select one of the following tabs in the Add Material to Book dialog box:

    • Upload File
    • Libraries
    • Link
    • Diligent Minutes

    Note

The following file types are supported: Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx), Microsoft Power Point (.ppt, .pptx), and Adobe PDF (.pdf).

  5. Enter a file name in the Title field. The Title field overrides the name of the original document, so if you do not want the name of the original document to change, leave the Title field blank.

  6. Select Save.

Prepare large documents for upload

You can prepare large PDF documents for upload by flattening the files.

  1. Open your PDF document, and then select File > Print to view the Print dialog box.

  2. Select Microsoft Print to PDF from the Printer menu.

  3. To flatten the PDF, select Print.
