Creating a poll in a BoardEffect workroom
You can use a poll to ask a single question and record responses from participants. This topic describes how to create a new poll.

To access polls, select a workroom, and then select the Collaborate tab
. -
Select Polls on top of the page to view a list of polls.

To create a new poll, select New Poll on the right side.

Enter a name for the poll in the Title field.

To add more details, you can select from the optional fields:
- Description
- Notify
- Browse File

You can configure the poll by selecting the checkbox next to one or multiple settings. Each setting is described below:
- Anonymous (Cannot be changed): you cannot view an individual's response, as the results do not display a user name.
- Allow Comments: you can enter a comment in addition to a response.
- Allow respondents to edit responses after submission: you can edit your initial response, after submitting the poll.
- Allow admins to respond on behalf of users: administrators can enter a response on behalf of a different user.
- Allow users to see summary poll results: you can access an overview of poll results.
- Allow users to see individual poll results: you can access poll results with user names.
- Add to Daily Digest: you can add the poll to the Daily Digest notification.

Select Save.

To add a question, select New Question.

From the New Question dialog box, enter your poll question in the Question field.

You can enter responses in the Add Choices fields.

To add more fields, select Add More Choices.

To allow users to opt out of the question, select the checkbox next to Users can abstain from this question.

Select Save.

To complete the poll, select Build Poll on the top right of the page.

To add respondents, select Manage Respondents.
