Creating and assigning a task in a BoardEffect workroom

Use tasks to assign responsibilities to workroom members. You can create new tasks, assign a due date, and add files. This topic describes how to create and assign a new task.

  1. To access tasks, select a workroom, and then select the Collaborate tab .

  2. Select Tasks on top of the page to view a list of tasks.

  3. To create a task, select Add Task.

  4. Enter a name for your task in the Title field.

  5. Add a detailed description about the task in the Description field.

  6. You can also add a due date, reminder date, file, or group. To receive a notification when the task is complete, select the checkbox next to Notify me when the task is marked complete.

  7. Select Save.

  8. To assign a task, move down the page to view a list of users. Select the Add icon next to the user's name.

  9. To send a notification to the users you assigned to the task, select Message Respondents.
