Add attachments to a workroom event

You can attach meeting books, documents, surveys, polls, and approvals to an event, so all materials related to an event are saved in one location.

Attach existing materials

You can attach existing materials to an event from the BoardEffect platform.

Note

You must first save the documents on your computer, and then upload them to your BoardEffect portal.

  1. Select the relevant workroom, and then select Events .

  2. Select Add Attachment on the event card of the relevant event. Alternatively, select the title of the event, and then select Attach or Create on the Event Details page.

  3. On the Attach or Create dialog, select the relevant tab from the following attachment types:
    • Books
    • Resources
    • Surveys
    • Polls
    • Approvals
  4. Next, on the left column on the tab, select an item from the list of available materials for the attachment type.

    Note

    You must first upload an item to your BoardEffect platform in order for the item to be visible here.

  5. To add the item to the event, select Done.

Create new materials

You can create new materials, including meeting books, surveys, and polls in BoardEffect, and then attach them to the event.

  1. Select Events , and then select Add Attachment on the event card of the relevant event. Alternatively, select the title of the event, and then select Attach or Create on the Event Details page.

  2. On the Attach or Create dialog, select the relevant attachment type. For example, select Books.

  3. To create new materials, select the +Create Book.

  4. On the New Book dialog, enter a title for the book.

  5. You can choose to add a template or move the book to a different workroom.

  6. You can also generate a cover page or an agenda to accompany the book.

  7. For more options, such as adding a watermark or controlling access to the book, select Advanced Settings .

  8. When finished, select Save and Continue. The Edit Meeting Book page opens where you can further edit and manage the book. To learn more, refer to the Meeting Books section of the Knowledge Base.
