Set up Touch ID for the BoardEffect app (iOS)
Touch ID is available on Apple devices that support Touch ID and are using BoardEffect iOS app version v.6.0.0 or later. The below instructions only work if your Apple device has been set up to use Touch ID. Refer to Apple Support on how to set up and use Touch ID on an iPhone and iPad.
Note
Your system administrator must first turn on biometric authorization for Apple devices for your organization in System Settings | Mobile Devices.
Before you can use Touch ID, you must download and authorize the BoardEffect app on your Apple device. To learn more, refer to Sign In on an iPad or iPhone in the Knowledge Base.
-
After you have authorized your device, and when you sign in to the app for the first time, a message displays asking whether you wish to set up Touch ID. Select Yes.
-
The Touch ID for "BoardEffect" dialog displays asking you to place your finger on the home button of your device.
Note
If Touch ID is not set up on your device, an error message displays with a link to your device Settings where you can turn on Touch ID. Refer to Apple Support on how to set up Touch ID on your device.
-
If the fingerprint is recognized, a confirmation message displays, verifying that you will be able to use Touch ID the next time you sign in.
-
Select OK.
