Central Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO) – PPSN
What is a PPSN?
A PPS Number (or PPSN) is a unique reference number that is issued to all Irish residents for dealings with public service agencies. They are also issued to non-residents persons who deal with Irish government agencies. The PPSN is used to validate the identity of every Beneficial Owner and reduce the possibility of duplicate data.
The field is located in the Personal section of an Individual's Individual Details record (Individual Record > Individual Details > Personal > Personal Public Service (PPS) Number).
Enable the PPSN
The PPSN field is not visible by default.
To make the field visible:
- Navigate to System Tools > User Defined Fields > Individuals Only.
- Locate the SYS_PPSNO Personal Public Service Number entry in the list. The Visibility status of the field is Never.
- Select the field's Open.
The User Defined Field wizard opens.
- Select the Display Control tab
The Display Control Options screen displays.
- Select the Visibility dropdown menu and select the Visible option.
- Once the Visible option is selected, select Finish to save the change and close the wizard.
The Visibility status of the field is changed to Visible.
The PPS Number field is visible in the Individual Details Personal section of an Individual's record.
