Configuration: Settings

Settings are used to enable features that assist with configuration and auditing in DXM.

Accessing the Settings Menu

Settings can be used to control the functioning of features and assist with auditing controls. Some settings may need to be enabled before a feature becomes available for use.

Note

DXM configuration and settings can only be accessed and configured by Users with Administrator rights.

To view the list of available Settings:

  • Navigate to: System Tools > Data Exchange Manager.
  • Select the Configuration link.

The Configuration screen displays.

  • Scroll down to the Settings section and select Open to access the Settings menu.

The Data Exchange Manager - Setting screen displays.

Feature Activation

On the Settings screen, a Feature can be activated or deactivated by selecting the appropriate option from a related dropdown menu. These Features will update configuration directly in DXM.

Many of the Feature settings on the Feature Activation screen display as configuration options on the Configuration screen.

Selections made regarding a Feature will determine whether they are enabled and visible (Yes), or remain disabled and hidden (blank), on the Configuration screen.

In the below example, the Enable Inbound?, Enable Extracts?, and Enable Outbound? Features are activated in Settings (set to Yes), allowing users to import, export, or extract files.

When the three Features are deactivated, their respective configuration options do not display in the Links section, limiting the degree of access to file processing.
