Storing Authorised Corporate Service Providers (ACSP) codes

Note

This functionality is introduced in preparation for upcoming releases. For details of the expected delivery timeline, refer to UK Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency (ECCTA) changes and delivery in Entities.

The new UK Delivery tab in My Preferences allows you to record the necessary information to submit document filer details for individuals delivering documents to UK Companies House. In this tab, you can record the Identity Verification code or the Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) code and specify the capacity in which you are delivering documents, which will be required by UK Companies House.

Administrator settings for controlling user access

Note

Administrators can’t access user information in the UK Delivery tab. Information recorded in this tab is only available to the individual it refers to.

After the upgrade, by default, users don’t have access to the new UK Delivery tab in My Preferences. Administrators can selectively configure user access to related features with user role rights.

The following role right specifies whether the selected user has the access permissions to the UK Delivery tab: Change UK Document Delivery (IDV/ACSP) (Read only).  Users with this access permission can access and edit their own information available in the tab.

To assign or change these user role rights, complete the following steps. You must be an administrator to change these settings.

  1. Go to System Tools > System Security.
  2. Open the User Roles tab.
  3. Select the role you want to edit.
  4. Go to the User Role Rights page of the wizard.
  5. Open the User Security  section and select the Change UK Document Delivery (IDV/ACSP) (Read only) user role right.
  6. Select Finish.

For more information on controlling user access with user role rights, refer to User Role Rights.

Record Identity Verification code or the Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) code

To access these settings, you need the Change UK Document Delivery (IDV/ACSP) (Read only) user role right.

  1. Go to My Preferences.
  2. Select Change My Preferences and select Next.
  3. Open the UK Delivery tab.
  4. Select the Do you deliver documents/forms to Companies House(UK)? option.
  5. Enter your name and email, if required.
  6. Depending on the capacity in which you are delivering documents, complete one of the following:
    • If you are filing as an individual, in Filing IDV code, enter your Identity Verification (IDV) code.

The code must be up to 11 characters long and contain only letters and digits.

    • If you are filing as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), in ACSP code, enter the appropriate code.

The code must be up to 8 characters long and contain only letters and digits.

    • If you are filing on behalf of an ACSP, in ACSP Employee code, enter the appropriate code.

The code must be up to 8 characters long and contain only letters and digits.

The codes are obfuscated by default. To see the codes, select and hold the icon.

  7. In Filing defaults - Filing as and statement, specify the capacity in which you are filing and select the appropriate statement from the list.
  8. Select Finish.

Entities verifies the entered code’s format and displays a warning message if the format is incorrect. If the format is correct, the information is saved in the UK Delivery tab.
