eSignatures: Enable eSignatures in Diligent Entities
Sign or request signatures for documentation with Diligent Entities eSignatures.
eSignatures provide a signature workflow which enables documents to be tracked and securely stored in Diligent Entities.
To begin using eSignatures, it is necessary to first enable the feature.
Note
eSignatures are enabled per User Role. All users of the selected Role type will be able to use eSignatures once the feature is enabled.
To enable the setting for a particular User Role:
- Navigate to: System Tools > Systems Security > User Roles.
The User Roles screen displays.
- Select Folder for the required User Role to open it.
The User Role wizard opens.
- Select Next to navigate to the User Role Rights screen.
- On the User Role Rights screen, select the Working Documents section header and select the related expand button to reveal the User Role Rights contained within.
The Send Document for Signature option is not selected by default.
- To enable this right for the particular user role selected:
- Select the related checkbox.
The right is enabled and the number of rights selected count in the Working Documents section, increases.
- Collapse the Working Documents rights section and open the Document Store header section beneath.
- Select the related expand button to reveal the User Role Rights contained within.
- Select the Send Stored Document for Signature option.
The right is enabled and the number of rights selected count in the Document Store section, increases.
- Collapse the Document Store rights section and open the System Security header section.
- Select the related expand button to reveal the User Role Rights contained within.
- Ensure that the Logon using HTTP API option is selected.
- Select Finish.
The wizard closes.
The rights are enabled, visible and accessible for the particular user role selected.
