Pop-Up Menus
Pop-up menus are ways of grouping together related options in a single menu or menus within Portals.
Several pop-up menus can be created within one portal and up to 20 items can appear within one pop-up menu.
To set up a pop-up menu:
- Select to create a User Defined Portal
- Enter the name of the portal
- Select Icon Strip as the display mode
- Set any other options as necessary and select Finish.
- Then select New to configure the settings for the pop-up menu.
- Select Popup Menu in the first screen and then select Next.
- Enter the name of the pop-up menu
- Select whether the menu items are in the current portal or another portal
- Select the number of items that will be in the menu, noting that if you later hide, remove or add items, this number must be decreased/increased by the number of items hidden/removed/added
- Select Next to add an icon for the pop-up menu
- Select Next again to put the option in a Security Group, if necessary and Finish.
- Return to the New button to set up the options for the pop-up menu, for example, a link to a particular search page within the system. Do this for every option within the menu.
- After selection of the portal, select the icon to reveal the options created as explained above.
