Split Portals for Entity Details
Split screen portals can be set up to combine two particular areas of an entity's information so that the details can be viewed simultaneously.
For example, a split portal can be configured to show a Company's Appointees and Shareholders on the same screen. These portals can be viewed vertically or horizontally. To set up a split portal:
- Navigate to System Tools > User Defined Menus.
- Select either Companies, Individuals or Other Entities.
- Search in 'Portals' and select to create one of the User Defined Portals.
- Use the Wand icon to name the portal and to select the relevant split portal options.
- Enter a description
- Select whether the portal is to be a horizontal or vertical split
- Select Finish.
The New button will then have to be used to create links to the two different areas you want the split portal to display.
- Select menu link to Other Details to select sections such as Appointments or Shareholders
- Enter a name and select the section
- Select Next and continue the Wizard until complete
- Repeat process for the second area of the portal.
- The final stage of setting up split portals is to create a link to the portal. This link can be set up on another portal or on a banner
- When creating the link, you will need to select to create a link to a portal.
- Enter a name for the link
- Select the split portal
- Within the Portal Options field, enter BAR1 to have a separation bar to separate the two areas. You will also need to enter the type of split you want to have for the two areas, for example, if the two areas are to be split 50/50, or 70/30 or 30/70. SPLIT1 is for a 50/50 split, SPLIT0 for a 70/30 split and SPLIT3 for a 30/70 split.
- BAR1 and SPLIT0/1/3 need to be separated with a semicolon (;)
- Select Next and continue the Wizard until complete
