Run a Risk Intelligence Search on an Individual
Risk Intelligence enables users to find adverse information about individuals they have in the system.
The Risk Intelligence search is available:
- as an option in the Navigation Bar.
- on the Individual Search page under Options

- on the Individual Details page under Wizards > Reports.
Note
Risk Intelligence is available to users that have the Show Quick Reports and Favourites and the Steele Risk Intelligence user role right enabled. For more information, refer to User Role Rights.
-
Select Risk Intelligence in the Navigation Bar.
- Read and accept the terms and conditions by selecting the checkbox and choosing Accept.
The first user to use the Risk Intelligence must read and accept the terms and conditions. This step is to be completed only once, the terms don't appear for every user, only for the first one who uses the option for the very first time.
- Start entering the name of the individual you want to run the search for and select the individual from the autocomplete results.
You can run a risk intelligence search on individuals with existing records in Diligent Entities. Thus, to run a search on an individual, first you need to create a record for them. Refer to Create an individual for more information.
- (Optional) Enter refinement terms to make your search more accurate.
You can use multiple refinement terms by using a space between the different terms.
-
Select Search.
Any adverse media containing the individual's name is listed. If the individual is on any watchlists, the details are listed on the right.
Each article has a relevance score. The relevance score shows how likely it is that the article contains derogatory information. It is a number between 0 and 100, where 100 means the highest risk. The score bubble is colour-coded: it is either red or orange or blue and the red ones are the most likely to contain negative information.
Note
The relevance score doesn't necessarily indicate the likelihood of the search result being specific to your search target. Results with a high score should be reviewed to determine the relevance to the search target.
- Review the Adverse Media search results and expand the watchlist result to see more details.
